Miami Series
The sparks behind my Miami series came from a recent trip to South Beach, Florida. It was a week-long adventure that involved relaxation, sightseeing, shopping by day and partying by night. The high-energy crowds on the streets and the Latin and techno driving beats in the nightclubs motivated me to create this series of energetic paintings. Miami has passion in its hot, night air and vibrantly gleaming neon lights, all of which are reflected in the colors of my paintings. My last day's adventure in South Beach was spent on an orange scooter zooming around in the warm breeze past Art-Deco lined streets. I said goodbye by enjoying dinner at a mouth-watering French cafe. Miami will always be an inspiration to me.

California Series
Celebrating the good life on the California Coast. First, there was San Francisco with its odd population mix, then the long Pacific Coast Highway void of people except for small towns like Carmel & Monterrey, with their expensive little quaint shops & restaurants. Then, it was on to L.A. with Hollywood Glamour, fantastic beaches and hip nightlife. Lastly, San Diego was enjoyed calmly with its relaxed beach life. Some of the inspirations which can be felt in the paintings are the laid back attitude, warm breezes of Hermosa Beach, white, sprawling mansions in Beverly Hills and shopping sprees on Rodeo Drive.

India Series
I will bring the Indian culture to life in vivid Gold, Reds & Greens. I experienced the 120 degree dusty, hot, barren landscapes, which were flat, spread out and always scattered with animals and people alike. The shantytowns rested right beside modern buildings which pointed out the contrast even more when homeless were lying in the grass with the cows, goats, pigs, dogs and mosquitoes. This series is sure to be an eye-opener, as was my trip!

Galaxy Series
4 more awesome paintings to come...please check back. The sparks behind my Galaxies series stemmed from a recent visit to a contemporary gallery in Pennsylvania. I was inspired by the colors and textures painted on the thick canvases. This allowed me to translate my ideas into new paintings onto thin boards with thick raised textures of grit, acrylic paint and molding paste topped with sprinkles of copper and silver flakes. The paintings transformed themselves into swirling galaxies, some dark, some light, some bright, some dull, but all utterly beautiful and mysterious.
