Claude Monet, the French painter is one of my favorites. I had recently seen his work in 2000 in Giverny, France during my study abroad in Paris. I named my dog "Monet" because I liked the name so much and his work. This painting was inspired by Claude Monet's waterlillies and my Monet ran through the painting so I also included her in the title.
